Well I just wanted to share recent success I have had in the world of SEO. My forum World of Warcraft Forums targets the keyword phrase World of Warcraft forums and I was just checking where I ranked in google, and I found myself to be #6. This was a big leap from the 2nd page previously and I think my traffic will shoot up as this is a pretty competitive term. I'm also 10 for World of Warcraft forum (singular). Ones I'd like to start ranking for are WoW forums and WoW forum. I'm not sure how much of this success is due to vbseo as I don't have anything to compare it to but i suspect that it has played a role in this ranking. Anyways I just wanted to share as I am pretty happy with this ranking, even ranking above the wow-europe official forums.

Awesome. Forums love the long tail though... you need to get new threads created as long tail is where you get the majority of your traffic.

OK, so I googled long tail seo because I hadn't heard that term before, and I think you're probably right. Do you think my current showthread title is the best way to go? Currently all I display is the thread name for the title tag.

Yeah, I was talking with Bama the other night and he mentioned long tail and I hadn't heard of it before either. It definitely adds up and is the way to go unless you can get #1 on very popular search terms.
