What forum sections do you think all forums should have,

rules, newbie intro's?

What in your mind should all forum have in terms of forum sections?

I always have an introductions forum, a feedback and site news forum, and an off-topic forum.

Always a introductions forum, General admin (for news/feedback etc), and an off topic.

Annoucmements, introductions, the lounge. That's usually what I always put on my forums.

Pretty much in agreeance with above: Announcements, Introductions, Off Topic.

I always have an admin area and a supporters only area as well.

Same as the above but if you can it is best to title those forums accordingly.

You can go to most forums and see three of the above and most will have the same titles. Try to add a little creation there if you can.

Here's a list of sub-forums that i think all of the Forums should have :

1. Rules and announcements
(if you have vB, then put your rules and policies in the FAQ page instead)

2. Introduction
(a place where new members can introduce themselves to everybody else)

3. Chit-Chat
(an area where users can do some non-technical / off-topic talks...)

4. Suggestions / Feedback
(very important part. you need to know what members want and / or feel about your forum)

Do many of you have a hidden forum for mods? This is something that I've been thinking about and know a few forums that have them to talk about the issues with the site and users misbehaving!
