Vbulletin Adsense tips

Hey guys,

I am running a blog about marketing where I am sharing several tips about Vbulletin as well. I am making quite some money with my website.

The first tip I can only recommend you to have a look at is my
.

Next article that might interest you is about the best Adsense placements for Vbulletin. I experienced for quite some time and think that my placements will get you a decent CTR boost as well. One guy told me that he increased his CTR using my tips by around 40 percent.

Re: Vbulletin Adsense tips

Thanks for sharing Hendrik

Quick question....I noticed you mentioned about not adding the Adsense unit within the categories or looking like a forum for fear of being banned. I was thinking about using the following modification to my vBulletin software....

vB.Sponsors - Forum and Category Sponsorship Ads (and AdSense) with Statistics - vBulletin.org Forum

....is this the type of modification we should avoid?

Personally, I use the large rectangle at the top of the page and it is the best performing unit for me. I've also done well with my 'under nav bar' Adsense. I get an occasional click on the 'after first post' position, but not much more than those three.

Any specific placement that is currently working for you that you might've previously overlooked?

Re: Vbulletin Adsense tips

Hey there,

I was once banned for that, but I really made the banner look exactly like a thread. I placed the post icons and everything around it so that the ad did not look a lot different from my forum threads.

This is what i got:
Quote:
Hello,

While reviewing your account, we noticed that you are currently displaying Google ads in a manner that is not compliant with our policies. For instance, we found violations of AdSense policies on pages such as Literature.

Publishers may not implement Google ads in a manner that disguises the ads in any way, for instance, by formatting neighboring content to look similar to the ads, or by making ads look like games or forum threads. Additionally, publishers may not attempt to associate specific images with the individual ads appearing on their sites. Such an implementation may confuse users who assume that the image is directly related to the advertiser's offerings.

Please make any necessary changes to your web pages in the next 3 business days. We also suggest that you take the time to review our program policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies) to ensure that all of your other pages are in compliance.

Once you update your site, we will automatically detect the changes and ad serving will not be affected. If you choose not to make the changes to your account within the next three days, your account will remain active but you will no longer be able to display ads on the site. Please note, however, that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

That is a good video there.

The main thing I learn is to keep trying out different ad styles in different locations. I recent just added a big square add to the first and last post and my earnings have tripled. Still not much but tripled all the same.

I dunno, blending is clearly a big no no on G'ads TOS.. use with caution I say and even risk of being banned. I still do mild blending though and do with caution as well. I'm glad though it works for you and helps improve rev. I know me, I'd get banned..my luck runs that way.
