I have to agree with you for the most part. A lot of times serious conversations lead too a heated debate, but that shouldn't mean you put a stop to it. As long as people are contributing to the topic at hand, and aren't trolling or doing personal attacks let them be. An if their a few certain users who are deal with them accordingly.
