Does using screenshots of TV Shows / Programs to a entertainment / TV Shows website NOT a violation of copyright law?

If you look at the credits at the end of any programme on television, you will see a copyright notice. One would suspect the copyright would extend to any frame shown on the screen; I don't know whether this would fall under "fair use" exceptions or whether the copyright owner would,if the website were not commercial in nature, make an issue of it.

Allot of image hosting service take screen shots of such content down. So I would say yes.

It's a yes for me. All TV shows are copyrighted so taking screen shots is a violation of the law.

Depends on the purpose, one or two for the purposes of review, etc. would be fine per fair use.
