vBulletin SEO Setup

Last night I was able to do a little bit of work to the blog. I added a performance hack and a sitemap.

• WP Super Cache - Donncha massively improved WP Cache to increase performance by about 300%! No blog should be without this plugin, and if you?’re using WP Cache you need to upgrade immediately!
• Google XML Sitemaps - creates a sitemap which helps search engines fully index all pages to ensure better search performance.
• ? Other Posts from Cat plugin for WordPress - Notice the related links below each of my posts? Well, this is the plugin that handles that.

I am planning on adding a few more things to help with SEO and the whole blogaspear. One of the many blogs I visit a week is OneMansBlog, has a list of hacks he uses. Since I’m a bit green to wp still, I’ll be looking for advice where ever I can get it.

So far the new home page hasn’t been reindexed by google, I expect it will be by the end of this week. Our hits have already started to go up, from 150 uniques to 200, and from under 1,000 page views, to well over 2,000

I’m really excited about the new blog, I wont be posting in the vblog as much, so it’ll have to be up to the members to take up the slack..lol
