Creating an Affiliate Marketing Blog
I’ve been able to make a few bucks from our affiliate product posts on the vBulletinSetup wordpress blog in the past, but now it’s time for those posts to get their own website. I’ve had this domain for over a year and never really did anything with it. I always liked the look and had picked it up with extensions of making a great website with it. The Affiliate Marketing Blog will be my place for future product post and hopefully a place to share what I’m learning, what works and what doesn’t in the world of affiliate marketing. I’ve been using Commission Junction since I started vBSetup, but have never really used it to its fullest potential. I had also signed up for Click Bank shortly later but did absolutely nothing with it, had looked in the marketplace but never even placed a link. I mentioned the posts I’ve made on this forum, here’s a few:
- Submit your RSS feeds to over 58 search engines and top directories
- vBulletin host, The best vBulletin host
- Automated Social Bookmarking Tool – Bookmarking Demon
That last one has been my best performer. Probably because it really is a useful product and 90% of our traffic is webmasters looking to improve their site. If I make a post on the new blog, I’ll try to give a short post here with a link to the original, it just depends on how busy I am at the time.
So look for our new blog, Affiliate Marketing Headquarters, it’s going to be a learning experience for all of us. My next post on the Affiliate Blog will outline the tools I use to broadcast my post and what you can do to get the most out of our affiliate blog.
