vBulletin 3.7 is Coming Soon
I’m really looking forward to the new version of vbulletin, the profile system is really cool and the groups that can be made are awesome. All I need know is a good facebook intergration application and I’ll be golden.
Here is a excerpt form vBulletin.com about the release of vBulletin 3.7 on monday.
I am happy to announce that (a little later than initially planned) we intend to release vBulletin 3.7.0 Beta 2 into the Members’ Area for download during UK business hours this coming Monday (December 17th).
These past couple of weeks of having the 3.7 code running on vBulletin.com so that customers can test features in ways we might not have considered and provide feedback have been invaluable. My thanks to all who have participated. vBulletin 3.7 is a better product as a result.
Please note that Monday’s release will be a beta version and all the usual caveats apply. There will be no additional support documentation and anyone who upgrades their live forum to run on beta code will do so at their own risk. If you are not prepared to apply updates on a regular basis or are expecting the whole system to function flawlessly, you would likely be better served waiting for the final, ‘gold’ or ’stable’ release of 3.7.0 when it comes.
As you can see in the project tracker, the list of unaddressed bugs applicable to 3.7.0 is dwindling and hence the decision to do the release on Monday, but please do not stop reporting problems you find – the sooner a problem is identified and reported, the sooner it can be rectified.
Have a good weekend and we’ll see you on Monday.
Here is a thread that we’ve started on vBulletinSetup.
